The top single for the past week was Arashi’s “Bittersweet”, which sold 511,696 copies. That’s better than their previous single, but right in the middle of their range for the past five years.

SUPER☆GIRLS sold 39,604 copies of “Sorairo no Kiseki” to bring it to #2.

At #3, Funky Kato’s “My VOICE” saw 38,002 copies sold.

“Faith” from miwa took #4 by selling 33,215 copies.

T.M.Revolution’s collaboration with SCANDAL on the Sengoku Basara single “Count ZERO/Runners high”, didn’t go quite as well as T.M. Revolution normally does on his own – it sold 30,178 at #5.

The second week of sales for Hey! Say! JUMP’s “AinoArika/Aisureba Motto Happy Life” were on the disappointing side – 14,672 sold at #11 to bring the single’s total to 222,141. That’s 7% of first week sales.

Taking #13 in its third week, “Takaramonozu/Paradise Live” from μ’s sold 11,535 copies to boost its total to 59,190. That’s some impressive staying power.

Tohoshinki’s “Hide & Seek/Something” does not have that kind of persistence. Only in its second week, it dropped to #16, selling 6,754 copies to bring its total to 114,167.

“Otone Nagare Tsuki” took #20 for Hikawa Kiyoshi-san, seeing an additional 4,851 in sales to get it to a three-week total of 59,814.

At #21, “TSUKI” from Amuro Namie-san sold 4,794 and now has a total of 56,067 copies sold after three weeks.

In its fourth week, SEKAI NO OWARI’s “Snow Magic Fantasy” got #22, selling 4,615 and bringing its total to 126,709.

Rounding out the significant singles, Fukuda Kouhei-san’s “Nanbu Semishigure” celebrated its sixty-ninth week by taking #23. After selling 154,737 copies, it still doesn’t want to quit.

The top album for the week was Domoto Tsuyoshi-san’s “shamanippon -roinochinoi-“, which sold 51,242 copies. I don’t have numbers on Tsuyoshi-san’s albums, but it seems like a number within the range I’d expect.

One Direction doesn’t want to leave – their “Midnight Memories” took #5, selling 10,437 to get their twelve-week total to 171,320.

“Tsugi no Ashiato” from AKB48 held on to #6 and now has a four-week total of 1,013,630.

Ariana Grande’s “Yours Truly” was right behind at #6. Its twenty-four week total is 46,101, but its release date is listed as Feb. 5th, so I’m confused. It’s possible that the release date indicates an official Japan release? I don’t know. Anyway, it’s pretty certain that this album will pass the 50k mark soon.

“The II AGE” from The SECOND from EXILE got #8 in its second week , adding a respectable 5,815 to bring its total to 56,602.

Finally, “Flower” from Flower managed to take #10, selling 4,718 in its fourth week and bringing its total to 90,547.
