The number one single for the past week was Sexy Zone‘s “Bye Bye Dubai ~See you again~/A My Girl Friend” (バィバィDuバィ ~See you again~/A My Girl Friend), which saw 144,777 copies sold. That beats out their previous single “Real Sexy!/BAD BOYS”, which had a 138,863 copy first week, and it makes this their best result since their début single. The lead song had three things going for it – it’s unexpected and novel, it has a unified theme and a catchy melody, and the group looks like its having fun while performing it. I wonder what sales in Dubai were like . . . .

Generations from EXILE TRIBE took the second spot with “HOT SHOT”, which did very well, grabbing gold in its first week by selling 106,358 copies.

Sound Horizon‘s . . . omigod that’s a long title . . . uh, sorry, I think it should be rendered as “Halloween to Yoru no Monogatari (Hoshi no Kirei na Yoru/Asa made Halloween/Oyasumi Reni)” (ハロウィンと夜の物語(星の綺麗な夜/朝までハロウィン/おやすみレニー)) was at #3. I don’t know if those are three separate songs or three movements to a single song (think Bohemian Rhapsody). Anyway, there were 46,706 copies of this single sold.

Falling to #7 in its second week, NMB48’s “Kamonegikkusu” sold 9,565 copies. That’s . . . dismal – less than 3% of first week sales. The single’s new total is 384,209.

“Gomennasai no Kissing You” from E-girls was at #11, adding 5,593 to its total, bringing it to 78,925 in its second week.

AKB48 held #13 for another week, and “Koisuru Fortune Cookie” can now boast an eight-week total of 1,451,565. It really looks like their strongest single in a while.

At #16, Akanishi Jin-kun’s ”Ai naru hou e” sold an additional 3,753 in week two to get its total to 46,016.

The third week of sales for EXILE’s “No Limit” brought it to #18, where it sold 3,641 copies for a running total of 87,226. Interesting to see the new Generations from EXILE TRIBE single doing much better than this one, though I don’t know if there’s any significance to it.

HKT48’s “Melon Juice” popped from #35 to #19 – a modest jump in its sixth week. Its new total is 292,862.

Taking #21, “Hiri Hiri no Hana” from Not Yet now has a three-week total of 122,254.

“Jiyuu e no Shingeki” is still in the top 30 – the Linked Horizon single took #27 in its fourteenth week, and now boasts a total of 221,712 copies sold.

Hikawa Kiyoshi-san’s “Manten no Hitomi” popped back up from #40 to #28, and has 67,979 copies sold after seven weeks.

On the album side, Superfly’s “Superfly BEST” took the top spot after been knocked out of it last week by the Perfume album. It saw 30,847 copies sold in its third week, bringing it past the platinum mark to 257,670.

Perfume’s “LEVEL3” took #2, but it was a close fight for the top since 27,569 copies of it were sold. Its two-week total is 193,317.

“Geisha Boy ~Anime Song Experience~” from T.M.Revolution got #6, selling 8,214 copies.

Nishino Kana-san’s two albums – “Love Collection ~mint~” and “Love Collection ~pink~” – took #7 and #8 respectively, selling 6,686 and 6,304 to bring their six-week totals to 259,640 and 253,038.
