You know how some dramas saw a nice pop last week? Yeah, well that all melted away this week. It was pretty much dismal all around, except that the late night shows held their own. Take a look for yourself:

Prime Time Shows

Biblia Koshodo no Jiken Techo – (01) 14.3%, (02) 12.2%, (03) 12.0%, (04) 11.6%, (05) 11.5%, (06) 11.7%, (07) 10.2%

Last Hope – (01) 14.2%, (02) 11.9%, (03) 11.4%, (04) 11.9%, (05) 11.6%, (06) 10.4%, (07) 9.2%

Nobunaga no Chef – (01) 11.6%, (02) 9.9%, (03) 10.1%, (04) 11.3%, (05) 10.9%, (06) 10.7%, (07) 11.8%, (08) 10.3%

Nakuna, Hara-chan – (01) 12.9%, (02) 10.3%, (03) 9.7%, (04) 9.3%, (05) 9.7%, (06) 11.0%, (07) 9.3%

Share House no Koibito – (01) 11.6%, (02) 9.6%, (03) 7.4%, (04) 6.8%, (05) 9.2%, (06) 11.2%, (07) 8.7%

Karamazov no Kyoudai – (01) 7.4%, (02) 7.3%, (03) 8.5%, (04) 6.4%, (05) 6.3%, (06) 6.5%, (07) 5.0%, (08) 5.6%

Late Night Shows

Shinryochu -in the Room- – (01) 3.1%, (02) 2.7%, (03) 2.5%, (04) 1.3%, (05) 1.8%, (06) 2.0%, (07) 1.9%, (08) 2.0%

Kodomo Keishi – (01) 1.7%, (02) 1.1%, (03) 2.1%, (04) 1.5%, (05) 1.1%, (06) 1.7%

The top three dramas I’m tracking are all threatening to break below the 10% line, and Last Hope already has. That’s . . . just sad. Now, I’m sure there are extenuating circumstances, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next week, but that doesn’t wipe out the fact that this season’s ratings have been the worst I’ve seen so far. I don’t know whether it’s just a seasonal thing, due to the dramas I picked to follow, or really down to the quality of the shows.

Anyway, the two strong dramas last week – Nakuna, Hara-chan and Share House no Koibito – both fell back down into single digit. So much for the brief excitement they caused – wonder where it came from and where it went.
