These are the new dramas starting in January, sorted by the day they air. The list is definitely not complete, and I’ll edit it as I get more information. If the drama’s name is a link, clicking it will lead you to a description at DramaWiki. Unfortunately, most of the dramas don’t have pages yet, but you can get good descriptions for most of the dramas here.

The shows I’m interested in are Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou, Kodomo Keishi, Last Hope, Shotenin Michiru no Mi no ue Hanashi, Share House no Koibito, Nobunaga no Chef, and Karamazov no Kyodai. Of these, I’ll definitely review Last Hope, Nobunaga no Chef, and Kodomo Keishi regardless of if I’ve got subtitles (though I at least have to get the videos!). Even with subtitles, Share House no Koibito will depend on how much screen time Nakajima Yuto-kun and Kawaguchi Haruna-san get – I’m not going to jump on a romantic drama unless my preferred actors get prominent parts. Currently, the leader for the fourth spot is Biblia Koshodou, for Gouriki Ayame-san and AKIRA-san.

There’s not much information on a successor in the Bakaleya-Sprout-Piece time slot – tentatively called In the Room. While having Inagaki Goro-san in it gives hopeful signs, the descriptions make it sound quite dull. In particular, there’s no indication of an overarching story, and also no news about which juniors will appear. It’s reportedly based on the morning drama “Kokoro”, which is a human drama – sort of a slice-of-life thing. So, I’ll probably cover it if it becomes less tentative, just to keep up my continuing coverage of that slot. The lack of information about it is a bit troubling, though.

Anyway, unlike last season, I think I’m going into the new year with my intended line-up pretty much set, and hopefully that means I’ll do a better job of keeping up with them.
